The Erwin Robert Balde Bursary Scheme for the 2025 academic year is now open for applications. This bursary, offered by Cape Gate (Pty) Ltd, is for students pursuing a BCom (CA stream) degree, with funding provided up to Honours level.

- Renewal: The bursary is renewable each year based on satisfactory academic performance.
- Post-graduation Employment: Bursary recipients may be required to work for Cape Gate (Pty) Ltd after graduation, for a period equal to the sponsorship duration. Employment will be at market-related rates.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be considered for the Erwin Robert Balde Bursary, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Matric Status: You must currently be in Matric (2024) or have completed Matric.
- Matric Results:
- Minimum of 70% in Mathematics.
- Minimum overall average of 65% in Matric.
- Study Plans: You must plan to study full-time towards a BCom (CA stream) degree.
- First Year of Study: You must be starting your first year of study in 2025.
- University Enrollment: You must be planning to study at a recognized and accredited South African university.
- Financial Need: You must have proven financial need.
- No Other Financial Assistance: You must not be receiving any other financial assistance for your studies.

- Alternatively, you can collect the application form in person from the Human Resource Development Department at Cape Gate (Pty) Ltd, Nobel Boulevard, Vanderbijlpark, Gauteng, 1900.
- Submit the following documents with your application:
- Certified copy of your latest Matric results.
- Proof of admission to a university (on the institution’s letterhead).
- Academic records and institution fee statement.
- A brief statement explaining why you have chosen this field of study/career.
